TERRITORIAL MAPPING

Through interviews, historical records, oral-history, and open-source GIS data, we have worked with the Tsetsaut/Skii km Lax Ha Nation to develop precise and accurate maps of their territory.  We have mapped traditional settlements, historic travel routes, trap lines, storied landmarks, and food-harvesting locations to help them represent and communicate their traditional and contemporary land use and occupation throughout their territory.  These maps represent an intersection of land and culture across large and small scales of space and time.

This ongoing project is an example of our ability to help clients to tell their stories through the measured tools of architecture and clear graphic and communication techniques.
