CAMP PRINGLE DINING HALL
Shawnigan Lake, BC
Dining hall and accommodations building for lakeside summer camp.
Situated on Shawnigan Lake, between Victoria and Nanaimo, this camp of the United Church of Canada serves the camping needs of the Vancouver Island communities. Several of its key buildings were no longer considered adequate to meet the present-day requirements for the summer camping program, and following an initial feasibility study, the decision was made to replace them. The new buildings also expand the potential use of the facilities to additional user groups throughout the rest of the year.
